The first step to run a great business is to have an idea that has a great business plan in place. In an Endeavour to provide the right platform and support for students with great ideas, Chameli Devi Institute of Professional Studies, Indore is organizing a Business Plan competition where an eminent panel of judges evaluate these plans and the participants benefit from valuable insights from experts and the winners are awarded with prizes.
There are hundreds of competitions across the globe but only a handful take these business plans beyond the plan stage and Udaan - The Business Plan Competition is certainly one of them.
The competition is open to all AICTE & UGC approved part-time and full-time Colleges/Institute/ University students at UG & PG levels. Students are not permitted to submit the same idea in more than one occasion. Participants must have valid college identity card. A plan may be presented by an individual or in a team of 2 – 3 members.
The Plan must be submitted in hard copy before the presentation. Materials for business plans are to be brought in pen drives and CDs only. However the final presentation will be done in power point mode. The business concept must not be more than 2,500 words. The structure of the business plan is not defined but the following sections are mandatory:
1. Executive Summary (one page max)
2. Product/Service Description
3. Market Research
4. Operations Plan
5. Marketing Plan
6. Finance Plan
The Judging Panel of the Business Plan Competition 2019 reserves the right to disqualify any entry that in its judgment violates the letter or the spirit of the Competition guidelines, processes and rules of the Business Plan Competition 2019. The decisions of the Judging Panel are final and binding.
The teams will be asked to present a full business plan. The duration of the presentations will be 15 minutes max. With an additional five minutes allocated for questions from the judges.
Business plans are judged on the following criteria:
1. The Idea (Novelty, Creativity & Innovativeness)
2. Market Ability
3. Financial feasibility
4. Presentation style

3. If the event is cancelled then that amount can be used to register in another event.
